Washington C.H. Fire
Rescue Venturing Program
The Venturing program started in
July 2001 and is for young individuals who want to
participate in public events and educational activities
regarding safety services. To date our young pioneers
of this program have learned communications, fire
rescue, EMS and life skills and the Ventures Received
training with MED Flight and Care Flight helicopter
services. The post currently has 7 advisory board
members consisting of full time and paid call department
members, and a parent advisory board of 5 civilian
members. All have been active in making sure that the
program has been kept within the highest traditions of
the fire service and the Boy Scouts of America.
