The City of Washington
Court House is proud to announce that our C.H.I.P.
program for 2006 is near an end. During the year
we assisted eight (8) homeowners in complete
rehabilitation, thirteen (13) home repairs and
twelve (12) down payment assists.
To qualify for CHIP
you must meet the following criteria:
>Be the owner of a
single family residence
>Have current
homeowners insurance
>Meet the income
guidelines for low to moderate income
>Your home must meet
qualifying guidelines of disrepair
If you believe you
qualify for CHIP assistance, we are re-applying for
more funding and we should know near the end of
September if funding will be made available to the
City for 2007. If funded, we will begin the process
of qualifying prospective clients for assistance in
October, 2006.
We are not
accepting applications at this time. However, we can
place you on a waiting list. Just call 636-2346 and
leave a message stating the date, time, your name,
address, phone number and what type of repair you
believe is needed. Please be sure to leave all the
information requested as there will be no return
calls made to collect missing information and you
will not be placed on the waiting list.
